Hello, world! Those of you who have been following this blog for a while might be wondering two things: Why was I gone for so long and why is my Think/Create blog gone? It’s also entirely possible that you’re not wondering either of those things. Regardless, let’s get to answering them!

Where the hell have I been?

Marooned on an island. Okay, maybe that isn’t entirely true. The writing just never really came that naturally to me. I’m much happier designing and developing the blog than actually writing posts for it. I’ll admit, maybe I’m just a little bit scared of the criticism I might get on the writing itself. However, I will try to keep up the frequency again for a bit. I’ve encountered some really interesting web design & development tools during the past few months that I’d like to post about.

What happened to Think/Create?

A few years back when the .xyz domains were introduced I knew I needed to get my hands on one. Seeing as I already had the Think/Create blog though I didn’t really know what do with the new site. I ended up making it a showcase for my work, but I never really kept it up to date… Oops!

Recently I decided to let go of the thinkcreate.co.za domain to save a few bucks on hosting and to better consolidate my content on the web. I’m excited to say, this is it, My new blog/portfolio website! Speaking of portfolios, go and check out my portfolio page. I’ve added quite a few exciting projects that weren’t on Think/Create. And so, whether you are here to stay, or passing through on your way to parts unknown – welcome to emilehay.xyz. It’s safer here.
